Membership Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to all active members of The Reading Room holding a Daily Reader, Avid Reader, or Literary Lounge membership. By enrolling in any tier, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
General Membership Terms
Membership is available to individuals aged 18 or older.
Memberships are nontransferable and apply only to the individual account holder.
Each member may hold only one active membership tier at a time.
Membership Fees and Billing
Membership fees are billed monthly or annually, depending on the option selected at sign-up.
Annual memberships are nonrefundable once activated.
Monthly memberships may be canceled at any time and will remain active through the end of the billing period.
Use of Benefits
Membership discounts and perks (including drinks, book discounts, and event access) are only valid for the account holder.
Discounts and benefits cannot be applied to guest purchases unless otherwise specified.
Members must present valid membership ID (physical or digital) or be verified by staff to redeem benefits.
Events and Perks
Early or priority access to events does not guarantee admission if the event sells out.
Free or included items (e.g., drinks, guest passes) are subject to reasonable usage limits and may not be rolled over unless specified.
Member-only events may require RSVP and may have limited capacity.
Changes to Membership
Members may request to upgrade or downgrade their membership tier at any time.
Pricing, perks, and terms are subject to change with 30 days’ notice to all active members.
The Reading Room reserves the right to adjust or discontinue membership tiers in response to business needs.
Revocation of Membership
Membership may be revoked without refund if the member:
Misuses benefits or provides false information
Engages in behavior that violates our Code of Conduct
Harasses, threatens, or acts disrespectfully toward staff or other patrons

Founding Member Terms and Conditions
The Founding Member tier is an exclusive, lifetime membership to The Reading Room, offering our most valued guests premier access, enduring perks, and recognition as early supporters of our literary and hospitality space.
By accepting Founding Member status, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Membership Scope and Eligibility
Founding Member status is nontransferable and applies solely to the individual named on the account.
Membership is lifetime and does not require annual or monthly renewal.
Founding Members must be at least 18 years of age.
Discounts and Orders
Founding Members receive $1 off each item (food, beverage, book, or merchandise) per order.
This discount applies only to items personally ordered and paid for by the Founding Member.
The discount does not extend to guests, group tabs, or third-party orders.
Personalized Mug or Glass
Each Founding Member may choose either a personalized mug or glass.
The selected item will be:
Labeled and stored securely at The Reading Room.
Used and cleaned exclusively by staff after each visit.
We will make reasonable efforts to ensure its safety and cleanliness, but we are not liable for accidental breakage or loss.
Author-Signed Book Access
Founding Members will receive early or exclusive access to author-signed copies of selected books when available.
Quantities are limited and may be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
General Terms
Membership may be revoked for misuse of benefits, inappropriate conduct, or violation of The Reading Room’s Code of Conduct.
Founding Members will receive advance notice of any updates to perks or terms.
All perks are subject to availability and may be updated to enhance the member experience.
